CARE FACILITIES
Design for care facilities includes everything from adapting an existing residence for aging or handicap provisions to medical clinics, senior housing and aging environments. The common design goals, according to John Hrivnak, are to create Dignity, Freedom, Independence and Choice. Those goals are met, in part, by using Universal Design Principles. Hrivnak Associates is also called upon to provide Physical Condition Assessments of care facilities nationwide for their expertise.
ADDITIONS/RENOVATIONS
Additions and Renovations are more challenging than new construction for a host of reasons - they need architects and builders familiar with their inherent challenges. Existing structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing become as important as designing to complement a given style while meeting current building codes.
